Ahead of the official revelations, the rumors have given out a slew of leaks and speculations providing insights into the key configurations of the Xiaomi Mi5.
One report has said that the Mi 5 project has been code-named Libra by the company. The specs, according to Mobi Picker include a 5.3-inch display with 1,440-x-2,560-pixels screen resolution, with a pixel density of 554 ppi.
The Mi 5 will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and it will have a 4GB RAM and may run on the latest Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system.
Other features in Mi 5 will be a 16GB or 64GB built-in storage, with a microSD card slot for expansion. On camera front, the upcoming phone is likely to have a 16 MP rear-facing camera and a 6 MP front-facing shooter for selfies and skype or video conferencing.
The Mi 5 may come with the latest range of battery that is a 3,030 mAh battery. Xiaomi may add a fingerprint scanner too, said the report.
Xiaomi’s next flagship Mi 5 will be released sometime in November coinciding with the pre-Christmas shopping spree all over the world. The expectations are that the new 820 Snapdragon should overcome the heating problem reported in Snapdragon 810 SoC.
