In view of the much-touted release date of its upcoming smartphone Mi 4i to be released on April 23, the Chienese phone maker, Xiaomi, has slashed the price of its ongoing flagship product Mi 4 price by Rs.2000.
Now the 16GB Mi 4 is priced at Rs 17,999 and the 64GB variant is available for Rs 21,999, down by Rs.2000 from their original price of Rs 19,999 and Rs 23,999 respectively.
The move is coming ahead of Xiaomi’s next mobile phone Mi 4i set for release on April 23, to be priced much lower at Rs.15,000, almost 4,000 lower than the Mi4, as per the reports. The new budget phone Xiaomi Mi 4i is actually a lower-end version of the Xiaomi Mi 4 powered by the Snapdragon 615 SoC, with 2GB RAM.
Back to the Xiaomi Mi 4, which is being sold at Rs 19,999 for the 16GB model and Rs 21,999 for the 64GB variant, sports a 5-inch HD IPS display with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels at 441 ppi, with a Corning OGS Glass that is useful to operate with wet hands or gloves. It runs on a 2.5 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 CPU with 3GB RAM.
Mi 4 is now running on old Android 4.4.4 KitKat operating system sugar-coated with MIUI 6 and is powered by a 3080 mAh battery.
