Xiaomi 64GB Mi4 to hit Flash Sale at 5 PM Today

xiaomimi4The Chinese company Xiaomi will sell its latest Mi4 model with 64GB memory unlike the usual 16GB memory model today at 5 PM sharp on Flipkart and the registration for the online sale that was opened on February 17 was closed.

However, the usual 16GB model flash sale will go on at 3PM as usual two hours before the sale of 64GB variant kicks off first time today. With a price tag of Rs.23,999, Xiaomi Mi 4 in 64GB variant has same features as its 16GB model except for the memory capacity that is four times higher.

The new variant was released mainly in view of the OnePlus One phone that similar features and priced Rs.21,999, almost Rs,2000 less than the Xiaomi model but it faces Cyanogen update ban in India. Xiaomi 16GB memory Mi4 is sold for Rs.19,999.


Xiaomi Mi 4 with 64 GB memory otherwise, sports a 5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels at 441 ppi along with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It has a 2.5 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 CPU with 3GB RAM for faster surfing on the Internet with 4G capacity. With an Android 4.4.3 KitKat operating system tweaked with its own interface MIUI 6, the Mi4 in 64GB variant stands slightly costlier by Rs.2000 compared to similar phones in the market.

With a 13MP rear camera that supports 4K video recording and another 8MP front camera for selfies, Xiaomi Mi4 64GB is good for video recording and visual interface. In addition, the Xiaomi Mi 4 also supports 4G LTE network along with 3G, WiFi, and Bluetooth for connectivity and has a 3080 mAh powerful battery. Xiaomi claims that the battery lasts one and a half day with normal usage and has quick charging feature at 60% charge in one hour’s time.


Eversince it launched its flagship Mi3 in India in July with an online exclusive sale on Flipkart, the Chinese company Xiaomi has been re-writing the history with flash sales every Tuesday. The sale of about one lakh devices in less than 5 seconds has made a dent into the market leaders’ strategy already.

While Samsung holds 24% market share in India, followed by Micromax at 20%, Lava and Karbonn at 8% each and Motorola with 5% as of September 2014, according to IDC, this year’s market share will be clearly in favour of Xiaomi.
