WATCH: I Drank Water Made From Feces: Bill Gates

Have you ever imagined, one of the richest man in the world will drink water made from human feces? But the founder of The Microsoft Bill Gates has just drunk a glass of water made from human feces.

YES! Bill Gates has drunk a glass of water made from human feces. The Microsoft founder was showcasing a new technology which could provide clean water from human feces.

The machine known as Janicki Omni Processor or JOP is a part of pilot project that it could save a lot of lives in poor countries. However, their main goal is not to provide water but to improve sanitation for all the cities in poor countries.

Bill Gates says in his blog post that, “At least 2 billion people use latrines that aren’t properly drained and diseases caused by poor sanitation kill some 700,000 children every year. Unfortunately, rich-world solutions aren’t feasible in poor countries—they require too much expensive infrastructure. (We put together this slideshow so you can see how the system works in Dakar today and how the JOP fits in.) The idea behind every Omni Processor design is to solve this problem by making sanitation affordable for the poor.”

“I watched the piles of feces go up the conveyer belt and drop into a large bin. They made their way through the machine, getting boiled and treated. A few minutes later I took a long taste of the end result: a glass of delicious drinking water.” he said in his blogpost (gatesnotes.com)
