Amid reports that many users of Twitter are facing login problems on their Android devices, Twitter has stated on its official blog that most of the problems have been fixed and its engineers are working on fixing all the issues.
Users who tried to log into Twitter were met with an error message and were not be able to get access to their account and even thrid party accounts like TweetDeck was not accessible. Some users have reported that all their tweets show as 365 days old.
Apologizing for the issue, Twitter said, “Between 4:00 and 9:25 PST today some users were unable to sign in to twitter. This issue was due to a bug in our front end code, which has been patched. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by this.”
It said in a statement that some users are still facing trouble to signin and assured a quick fix soon. “Our engineers are currently working to resolve this,” it added.
Two weeks ago, on Dec.11, some users experienced issues sending and viewing tweets on the website and on its mobile apps between 17:25 and 18:05 PST and the issue was corrected later and Twitter said, “we apologize for any inconvenience.”
A month before that on November 10, between 12:05 and 12:35pm PT, some users may have experienced issues sending and viewing tweets on twitter.com and Twitter’s mobile apps. “The source of this issue has been identified and we apologize for any inconvenience,” said a statement from Twitter then.
