Actor Vikram, who is currently in Mumbai, will promote his upcoming Tamil magnum opus ‘I’ on the sets of reality TV show “Big Boss” in a special episode with host Salman Khan.
“The shooting of the episode will take place Sunday on the sets of ‘Big Boss’. The film’s Hindi trailer will be unveiled on the show,” Vikram’s manager told IANS.
Directed by Shankar, “I”, which has been on the floors for over two years, is scheduled for release during Pongal 2015. The film also features Amy Jackson and Upen Patel, one of the contestants in the show, in important roles.
Shot predominantly in China, “I” features Vikram as a bodybuilder and a disfigured man and directed by Shankar, it features Amy Jackson with music composed by AR Rahman.
Its music release was attended among others by Hollywood actor Arnold Schwarzenegger and Super Star Rajinikanth with Telugu hero Maheash Babu gracing the occasion in return for Shankar’s presence at his film’s audio release.
The film will be released in Telugu as “I, Manoharudu”. The movie was made with a budget of Rs.175 crore, surpassing any other Tamil film’s budget so far.
The film will be released in Tamil, Telugu and also Hindi for Pongal in the second week of January 2015 in more than 2,000 screens.
