The plot around Shashi Tharoor is getting thicker with the first picture of the Congress MP and Pakistani journalist Mehr Tarar surfacing in an exclusive of Zee TV report that was allegedly clicked in Dubai in June 2013.
Tharoor’s wife Sunanda Pushkar, 52, had unleashed a twitter war on January 16, 2014 but she was found dead the next day in a five-star hotel in Delhi raising many eyebrows over the nature of her death. Now, Delhi Police has confirmed that she was poisoned to death.
Known Indian journalist Nalini Singh, who was a witness in the case, has already told the public on many platforms that Pushkar was thoroughly upset with Tharoor’s relationship with Tarar and alleged that they had “spent three nights together in Dubai” in June 2013.
With the impending questioning of Shashi Tharoor in the case in a day or two, the evidence is popping up in the media much before the police could gather.
Meanwhile, Delhi Police chief BS Bassi said Pakistani journalist Mehr Tarar, whose friendship with Tharoor had reportedly led to a row between the couple may also be probed if required.
The case is likely to bring focus on Pakistani journalist Tarar, who said later that she was disturbed by the uproar over the “suicide” of Sunanda Pushkar, rejecting the police contention that it was a murder case.
