Whether it is Chaalbaaz, Mr. India or Chandni, versatile actress Sridevi who turned 52 on Thursday will make a comeback with the Tamil film “Puli” after her 1986 film in Tamil. .
Everybody was raving about how visual effects and CGI (Computer generated imagery have come up in SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali, however Tamil superstar Vijay’s Puli also staring Sridevi has even more CGI scene than Bahubali.
A rumour is doing rounds that Mr. India actress Sridevi was approached for SS Rajamouli’s <em>magnum opus</em> Bahubali, but she refused and chose Puli. She was approached to play the role played by Ramya Krishnan in Bahubali.
The role she rejected is highly appreciated by the audience and critics, Ramya Krishnan’s performance has been praised to heavens.
Sridevi, who worked with all the leading actors of her times was last seen in a Tamil movie which was “Naan Adimai Illai” starring Rajnikanth, back in 1986.
Puli, the fantasy-adventure flick is made with a budget of about Rs. 100 crore. Vijay’s film is rich with visual effects like Bahubali.
There was also a rumor that the movie date is delayed to make some more detail effects as Bahubali’s CGI work has been top class, after watching the trailer of Puli, many people said it seems like an ordinary movie.
However, now the movie is slated to be released in September. Twitter was trending with Happy Birthday Sridevi. It is filled with birthday wishes and many celebrities wished her a glorious year ahead.
