Twitter cannot survive without a single death hoax per day and Friday, it was rapper Soulja Boy and promptly , thousands of his fans tweeted with "#RIPSouljaBoy". Otherwise, in February 2012 too, the same hashtag had gone viral on Twitter.
The hoax with hashtag #RIPSouljaBoy started trending worldwide before the rapper himself caught on to it and realized that he was still alive.
"Just left my photoshoot headed to a meeting for 3 deals on new companies," Boy wrote immediately after realising the hoax at about 4:45 p.m. ET.
The entire death hoax mania on Twitter is triggering from fake news websites, which are mushrooming online of late.
But Soulja Boy who is alive and kicking, in fact, brought out his latest albums with Drake and Nicki Minaj on "We Made It" and "Yasss Bish!" respectively.
