The DNA samples of bones taken from Pen, Raigad were tested by Kalina forensic laboratory and reportedly found matched with Indrani Mukerjea, in a major twist that may prove crucial to file charges against her.
The police had sent the samples to Forensic lab last week. Even Mikhail Bora’s DNA samples were sent for tests.
In related development, Indrani Mukerjea and her driver Shyam Rai got judicial custody till September 21, after they were produced in Bandra court on Monday. Now Indrani can apply for bail and police have 90 days to file charges against the accused.

The 14-day judicial custory entails the police to investigate further about the modus operandi of the killers who disposed off the body in a meticulously planned manner. From the court, Indrani was taken to Byculla women’s prison.
If police can connect all the dots, the case stands the court scrutiny and gets the accused the punishment.
