Bollywood Badshah Shah Rukh Khan launched the first trailer of his forthcoming film “Happy New Year” (HNY), on the eve of India’s Independence Day on Thursday, in which he opens it up with dialogues about the world’s “biggest heist” for diamonds.
Talking about the winners and losers, he says all losers get one more chance to win but when they fail, they remain dejected and defeated forever. But his film, he says, is dedicated to all losers in the world, not elaborating why. Directed by Farah Khan, the film is a home production of Shahrukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment.
The storyline is about six losers who want to use that one more chance to win in life and SRK is one among them. “The film is not about one actor, it is an ensemble film. It is about hope, belief and goodness. It is dedicated to losers. This film is about biggest heist. It’s about six losers and one mission,” SRK told the media launching the trailer.
The 3-minute trailer also gives a glance about the song “Indiawale” making it apt for the release on the eve of the Independence Day. The six losers include Shahrukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Sonu Sood, Boman Irani and Vivaan Shah, as well as Jackie Shroff, who plays the role of a villain.
Meant for release a day after Diwali, the film makes it more thrilling and entertaining for the festive mood that surrounds Diwali or the Festival of Lights. After his successful “Chennai Express”, Shahrukh Khan is going lighning way to entertain his fans with this film.
