Shahrukh Khan who was vacationing in London with his family said on Monday that he did not meet Lalit Modi, former IPL commissioner in London as host of many Indian leaders, police officers and celebrities did.
Reportedly, Shahrukh who is co-owner of Indian Premier League team Kolkata Knight Riders was asked if he had met Lalit Modi.
Recently, there was an uproar over Sushma Swaraj, the External Affairs Minister’s admitted movet to help facilitate travel documents for him, while Vasudhara Raje, Rajasthan Chief Minister had favoured Modi’s immigration plea in London Court.
Lalit Modi has allegedly met even Priyanka Gandhi and her husband Robert Vadra but was denied by the family. In an interview to the NDTV, SRK was asked if he had met the tainted former IPL boss during his stay in London, but Shahrukh Khan was quick to say “NO” and added that if he had met Modi, it would be out by now.
He told NDTV, “No, I didn’t even have a vacation in London. I was shooting in Bulgaria. I finished in the evening, took the morning… (sic) After because it was the last night… We were awake till about 6 in the morning… Chatting and talking… And just about we entered the plane at about 2 o clock landed in the evening and next day I had my daughter’s and son’s admission.
“So, I hardly had time there… No I did not meet Lalit Modi… If I had, he would have told everyone,” Shah Rukh added.
Shahrukh Khan is currently busy shooting for his upcoming film ‘Dilwale’ in Bulgaria. The movie is directed by Rohit Shetty. The other co-actors include Kajol, Varun Dhawan and Kriti sanon. The movie is expected to release on December 18, 2015.
