Blowing up car is a trademark sign of Rohit Shetty films, from Golmaal to Singham Returns and this time Shah Rukh Khan is likely to do a host of ‘cool’ car stunts in his upcoming action-comedy ‘Dilwale’.
The 49-year-old ‘Chennai Express’ actor, who will be 50+ by the time the film is released, is busy currently shooting in Bulgaria. Besides socializing himself with Ajay Devgn, husband of Kajol, and burying the hatchet, Shahrukh Khan took to twitter to thank the crew for pulling off the action scenes in the Rohit Shetty directed action-comedy ‘Dilwale’.
Doing some really cool car stunts & hav to thank the team of guys who take such high risks to get the shots. Quite Awesome. #Dilwale

This film is re-uniting the iconic Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge (DDLJ) pair — Shah Rukh Khan and actress friend Kajol, who were last seen together on the big screen in Karan Johar’s 2010 drama ‘My Name is Khan’. Varun Dhawan, who also plays a major role in ‘Dilwale’ provided a sneak peek of the high action sequences on Twitter:

Film also stars Varun Dhawan, Kirti Sanon, Vinod Khanna, Boman Irani, Kabir Bedi, Varun Sharma and Sanjay Mishra on lead roles. ‘Dilwale’, produced by Shah Rukh’s Red Chillies Entertainments and Rohit Shetty Productions’, is set to hit theatres on December 18.
The film will be Shah Rukh’s second outing with Rohit after their 2013 blockbuster ‘Chennai Express’ that had created Rs.300 crore club in the country.
The film is reportedly a modern adaptation of “Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi” where SRK will play the role of Ashok Kumar and Varun Dhawan will be seen in the role of Kishore Kumar with Kirti Sanon as his pair.
Rohit Shetty is planning to release the film for Christmas, which has become a prized date for Bollywood after Aamir Khan’s films Dhoom 3 and PK made it big on Christmas. Other films likely to be released on Christmas include Imtiaz Ali’s ‘Tamasha’ and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Bajirao Mastani’.
