Ravi Teja’s “Kick 2” shooting was launched today at Rama Naidu Studios, Hyderabad with Nandamuri actors Jr NTR and Kalyan Ram being present, while Allu Arjun too attended the function.
Barring music composer Thaman, who missed his flight from Chennai to Hyderabad, the film’s shooting was kicked off on Wednesday, with Ravi Teja playing the lead role.
The storyline will take off with Ravi Teja’s police officer role, which he entered at the end of the prequel of Kick. The female lead role is yet to be decided and other cast will also be revealed later, said Surrender Reddy, director of the film. “Kick 2” is a sequel to the 2009-hit film “Kick.”
The Hindi remake with Salman Khan hit the screens on 25 July making massive box office collections in 3 weeks amounting to Rs.93 crore and crossing the Rs.100 crore inclusive of the overseas market.
Surrender Reddy said the sequel will be more entertaining than the first part.
“We are going to begin shooting for ‘Kick 2’ from Wednesday. The film is going to be even more entertaining than ‘Kick’ and we will spare no effort to ensure it. Ravi Teja is going to be seen in a cracker-jack of a role,” he told the Times of India.
“Kick 2” will be produced by actor Kalyan Ram under the NTR Arts banner.
