Telugu film industry icon and producer D. Ramanaidu, 79, is suffering from prostate cancer and is undergoing treatment, said actor Rajasekar, who is also a doctor by profession.
Ramanaidu has been undergoing treatment for over the last few months and the doctor-actor said Ramanaidu’s condition is “not bad”…”It’s not good either. He’s reached a point where he has to be medically dependent day in day out,” he said.
“He has been on constant medical attention for some time now. We’re trying some alternate therapies on him and the result has been satisfactory. Although the cancer can’t be killed, efforts are being taken to make him feel comfortable,” Rajasekar told IANS.
Popularly known as movie mogul, Ramanaidu has produced films in all Indian languages. Founder of Suresh Productions, Ramanaidu holds the Guinness Book of World Records for the most films produced by an individual, a record 150 films in 13 Indian languages.

He was also an MP from the Bapatla constituency of Guntur District in the 13th Lok Sabha from 1999–2004.
