Ram Charan-starrer and his first family entertainer "Govindudu Andarivadele" in its first week has collected Rs.19.95 crore, despite a weak plot and ordinary theme unlike other Ram Charan’s films in the past on fights and dances.
Following the new family entertainers like Mahesh Babu’s SVSC or Pawan Kalyan’s "Attarintiki Daredi", Krishna Vamsi’s directorial "Govindudu Andarivadele" or GAV has managed to gross Rs.19.9 crore in the first 4 days and has reportedly crossed the benchmark of Rs.25 crore in its first week, according to some unconfirmed reports.
Featuring Ram Charan, Kajal Aggarwal, Prakash Raj, Srikanth and Kamalinee Mukherjee, the film has managed to do well coinciding with the long weekend festive holidays. On its opening day, the film collected Rs. 8.55 crore at the box office but saw lukewarm response to the film on the second day of its release.
But the film soon recovered based merely on its word-of-mouth campaign by the audience and was able to cross the records set by Mahesh Babu’s "Aagadu" and Jr NTR’s "Rabhasa", which had collected Rs.19.25 crore and Rs.18.17 crore in their first 4 days, respectively.
Since there is no other Telugu film to be released by big actors until October 17 when Naga Chaitanya’s "Oka Laila Kosam" will hit the screens in a big way, Ram Charan Teja’s GAV will run decently in most of the theatres.
Govindudu Andarivadele is estimated to gross Rs. 35 crore by the end of 2 weeks, according to boxoffice trending reports. The 7th Day BoxOffice Collection of Govindudu Andarivadele is expected at Rs. 2 Crore, said reports.
