A morphed video clip of Radhika Apte in nude went viral as any such video would do but the owner of it, director Anurag Khashyap was furious about its leak online.
The director said he took the clip featuring Radhika Apte partly nude for a short film that was sent to New York but someone there has leaked it online. It was circulated on WhatsApp last weekend.
Khashyap defended the short film describing it was made to be “absolutely non-sexual”.
It was made by women, among women and no male soul was nearby when it was filmed. “At every stage of the post-production, that (nude) part was either sent blank or pixelated before being sent.”
Besides filing an FIR, the director said he is “going to spend the rest of life to find this guy”.
“It has to be some Indian guy there, otherwise other material from other sources that is much more sexual is available to the West and something like this does not get them excited.”
How did the veteran director forget his responsibility to keep such films highly guarded? Just filing an FIR would not absolve the director of his “sins” in making such short film.
Though Bollywood is replete with such examples, Anurag Khashyap owes an answer to Radhika Apte and many like her to ever trust him again.
