Queen Sends Lawyer Notice to PR Firm

Kangana Ranaut, ‘Queen’ fame has sent a legal notice alleging defamation to her unnamed PR firm with whom she was working since two years. The PR firm was accused of circulating negative stories about the actress in the notice.

According to a report in Mid-day, the notice was sent by the actress’s lawyer to the PR firm last week and it reads: “The representatives of your company out of bitterness then malafidely, mischievously and intentionally started spreading various false and absolutely misleading stories against my client to the media therein trying to cause serious damages to my client’s name, image and reputation (sic).”

The notice also reads that the actress has sufficient proofs which at the first face showcase that negative stories about the actress have been circulated by the company representatives. The lawyer also call upon the company to immediately stop indulging in such malafide and mischievous acts. Failinf to put a stop on such acts a case will be filed both civil and criminal for defaming the actress.
It was reported that the actress had asked the agency twice against spreading the canards, but decided to take legal action when negative stories about her continued to appear in media.
Her lawyer Rizwan Siddiquee told the media:”My client has been deeply disturbed by the false and misleading stories being circulated about her on public platforms and media, by people with malafide intentions and ulterior motives.” He further noted that as Ranaut “is now under constraint to protect her name, image and reputation, has duly addressed a notice through me to the PR firm for defamation.”
Kangana Ranaut is on the peak of success currently with her back to back blockbusters ‘Queen’ and ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns.’ Both the movies earned her box office success and specially last year release ‘Queen’ earned her the IIFA Award foor Best Performance in Leading Role-Female Awards. Her 2011 film ‘I Love NY’ with Sunny Deol that was shelved fearing low box office turnout is now getting final touches for July 3 releases, riding high on newly-found name and fame for the actress.
