‘Puli’ is made with the budget of more than Rs 100 crore and it was the most expensive film in the career of Vijay and this factor seemed to have drawn the attention of the Income Tax sleuths. However, Sridevi and other main actors were spared from raids.
IT department also raided on Wednesday actresses Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Nayanthara’s houses, who are not related to the film. A total number of 32 places were being raided in Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
The IT officers also raided the house of the Vijay’s upcoming film Puli’s director Chimbudevan and the producers of the movie reportedly on a tip from someone that black money was used in making the film. The IT sources told The Hindu, “Yes, the raids are on. We have found out that many investments in the movie “Puli’ were not explained.”
According to sources the raid was conducted following reports that some investment made in Puli was unaccounted for.
Ilayathalapathy Vijay starer Puli is all set to be released on 1st October, 2015. Puli has already broken several records and creating huge wave in Indian Cinema.
The film ‘Puli’ has many features to attract audience to the theater. Actress Sridevi is making her comeback in Tamil films with this fantasy flick after almost three decades. Seeing her sharing screen space with Vijay, Sudeep, Shruti Haasan and Hansika Motwani, will be a treat for the fans.
