The U Mumba players have been in impressive form with Jeeva Kumar and Mohit Chhillar, acquiring the show’s stopper’s position in the first two matches. Kumar almost single-handedly dominated the match against Jaipur Pink Panthers, allowing Ravi Shetty’s side to foster a strong and tight impact on the defending champions early on from the match.
His contributions helped U Mumba come out victorious in the neck-to-neck battle against the Panthers thereby, rightly being awarded as the most impressive player, best defender and man of the match of the day.
Chhillar on the other hand, was the star player of U Mumba in yesterday’s match against Bengaluru Bulls. He skillfully utilized his strong arm to cease U Mumba from losing points, and deservingly was awarded the inspiring defender of the match award.
The team has been greatly utilizing the home advantage so far, and will look to use it again when they on Patna Pirates next who are nothing but underdogs before them.
Patna Pirates can’t be put down completely as they inaugurate their 2015 season of Pro Kabaddi League. They finished fourth last season, one place behind Bengaluru Bulls and will definitely look to break U Mumba’s momentum, by grabbing a win.
Preview: U Mumba with fired up attitude and big home support will convincingly take the match.
In the other match of the day, Puneri Paltan will also inaugurate their 2015 season of Pro Kabaddi League by taking Telegu Titans. The Hyderabadi side is coming off from an impressive 36-27 victory over Dabang Delhi.
Rahul Chaudhari not only captained the Titans, but also produced a flawless performance. Sukesh Hegde, Deepak Hudda and Kashiling Adake also showed A-level performance, complementing their skipper throughout the match.
It will be an exciting match with both Paltan and Titans, aiming to produce a good show after finishing last and not even qualifying for the playoffs, respectively in the previous edition.
Prediction: Telegu Titans might have been unable to qualify for the playoffs last season, but in the previous meeting against Paltan they did defeat the latter with a score line of 60-24.
