Portugal Team : FIFA 2014 World Cup Review

Portugal TeamThe Progress of Portugal depends on the prospects of one man’s availability. A certain gentlemen named Cristiano Ronaldo. Ever since bursting into the footballing scene, Ronaldo has been ‘the name’ to watch out for. His exploits with both club and country have been nothing short of phenomenal and he look to captain a buoyant Portugal side.

Manager Paulo Bento has been doing a fine job with the Portuguese national side and he will look to deliver another solid performance in Brazil. He has picked up a squad with a fine mix of youth and experience who will only look to play the attractive football that they always do.

Portugal nearly missed out on the world cup, before a Ronaldo hat trick helped them secure a spot in what can be termed as a ‘last ditched effort’. They must look to put away the bad memory of the qualifiers and start afresh in Brazil.

A fact that will plague them is the injury to talisman Ronaldo. He is suffering from a leg injury and only recently managed to start training with the side. They will be sweating over his availability just like the rest of the world.

Here is a look at the Portugal line up:
