The first song of Aamir Kahn-starrer “PK” has been released by director Rajkumar Hirani and singer Swaroop Khan at a function in NOIDA, adjoining New Delhi on Saturday with Sanjay Dutt playing the next lead in the song, in Rajsthani costume in the backdrop of a typical Rajasthani village.
The song Youtube released by T-Series is decent attracting 145,148 visitors as of Saturday 11 AM, less than 20 hours. Unlike the trailer, which is going viral with more than 6,213,903 since its release on October 23.
In reaction to the song trailer, one writer Babi Chakrabarty writes: “thumbs up.! IF U XPECTED SOMETHING MORE ND THIS ONE IS FULL LET DOWN.!”, though it is too early to remark. See Video below:
The ‘PK’ team has been working relentless to make the pre-release of the film a sure success releasing some poster or trailer and now the first song so the audience interest is kept going without any gap. The next one month will see more film songs to be released and some sidelights of the film-making coming in our way, said the director.
The song ‘tharki chokro’ opens with Sanjay Dutt explaining a confused Aamir Khan who is visibly seen lost mistaking men with women and Dutt trying to take him out of the scene safely before something worse happens.
Teh song was written by Swanand Kirkire, composed by Ajay and Atul, and was sung by Rajasthani folk song winger Swaroop Khan. In fact, the song was first sung on ‘Indian Idol 5′ by contestant Swaroop Khan, who shot to fame and was roped in by Rajkumar Hirani and Aamir Khan for the film “PK”.

Noticeably, Anushka Sharma and Sushant Singh Rajput. earlier tweeted by Hirani to be present at the function, were absent but Aamir Khan was there to fill the gap. “PK” will be released on December 19, just before the Christmas holidays to keep the viewers busy with the film.
