Telugu actor and brother of chiranjeevi is all set to gt into active politics as indications show that he is moving decisively to register his name as a voter in Eluru, West Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh.
In a statement his Janasena Party treasurer Marishetty Raghavaiah said Pawan Kalyan has asked the district janasena party members to begin the process for his entry as a voter and he may probably choose Eluru as his constituency in the forthcoming elections in the state.
The move makes him leave Hyderabad as he was till recently a voter in the city but now that it is in Telangana, he is keen on entering Andhra Pradesh electoral scene where his popularity is immense and the following of fans is huge.
Originally he hails from the Coastal region and his decision did not come as a surprise. His party is equally keen on contesting in Telangana but his next move will decide the importance he is giving to Telangana.
Both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana will go to next elections in 2019, along with the national elections. Already known for rhetorics against Telugu Desam and BJP rule with whom he collaborated in the 2014 elections, Pawan Kalyan is likely to go solo or in association with YSR Congress in both the states in the next elections.
As his elder brother Chiranjeevi is keen on his movie career now and is distancing himself from the Congress of late, Pawan Kalyan is likely to make his party the forefront for the family to enter politics but in a localised manner a-la NTR’s Telugu Desam in 1980.
