The 89th Academy Awards, called Oscar Awards ceremony held at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday evening gave away Casey Affleck with the Best Actor Award for ‘Manchester By The Sea’ and Emma Stone walked away with the Best Actress Award for her performance in ‘ La La Land ‘. The Jungle Book won an award for best visual effects.
Ironic but ‘La La Land’ was initially declared as the Best Picture, but it was soon declared that there was an error and the Best Picture Award went to ‘Moonlight’, disappointing many audience and viewers.
Damien Chazelle won the Best Director Award for ‘La La Land’ and the film took home six awards while ‘Moonlight’ won three golden awards. Host did not waste the chance to ake a dig at the US President Donald Trump.
