Ahead of it upcoming phone OnePlus Two, the Chinese company has announced further cut on the OnePlus One selling it at Rs.18,999 from its earlier price of Rs 21,998 but just for one day, today. This is in addition to an extension of warranty on its smartphones in India.
All service issues which are pending for over more than 15 days will get automatic 3-month extended warranty, said the company in a statement. The OnePlus One is riding high of late with the Cyanogen controversy resolved with Micromax for its updates in India.
Comparable with a high range mobile phone with 4G capability, 13MP camera, 5.5-inch IPS screen with Full HD resolution, a 2.5 GHz processor on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 platform, 3GB RAM and a 3100 mAH battery, the OnePlus One is standout in smartphone from China.
OnePlus Two is in the pipeline for quite sometime with features leaked about its Snapdragon 810 special chip, despite past instances that the chip caused several over-heating issues in the past. “OnePlus 2 will come loaded with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 v2.1 processor, engineered for OnePlus and our next generation flagship phone,” said OnPlus on its blog post stressing that the 810 chip will be perfect for multi-tasking and yet not prone to over heat.
“Although there have been reports that the 810 runs warmer than its predecessors, we assure you that we have taken all the necessary precautions and beyond to prevent this from occurring in the 2. We worked very closely with Qualcomm’s engineers to integrate an improved version of the chipset (v2.1) in the OnePlus 2, and fine-tuned both hardware and software,” said the blog post.
