NASA has announced that its two astronauts, Barry Wilmore and Terry Virts, will take a walk in the space from the International Space Station to go outside and carry out cable routing and lubrication work on the Canadarm2.
This repair will enable the forthcoming missions with international Docking Adapters. The current repairs are the second of three spacewalks and the next event will be on Sunday morning, said NASA.
The astronauts will also prepare the Tranquility module ready for the Permanent Multipurpose Module in view of the arrival of the Bigelow Expandable Activity Module which is expected to arrive later this year.
The space walk on Wednesday will begin at around 12.10 GMT (5:40 IST) and it may take few hours to finish the task, said NASA.
