“Soggade Chinni Nayana” is the apt title of Akkineni Nagarjuna’s next Telugu film, taken from a hit song of his father Nageswara Rao.
The shooting of the film was launched on Wednesday tentatively and Nagarjuna plays the dual role of grandfather and grandson.
“The film was officially launched in Annapurna Studios with a puja. Regular shooting will start shortly in Rajahmundry,” a source from the film’s unit told IANS.
Directed by debutant Kalyan Krishna and produced by Nagarjuna himself under the home banner Annapurna Studios, the film features Ramya Krishna and Lavanya Tripathi in the lead roles.
Otherwise, Nagarjuna is already giving preview promotions of his popular TV show “Meelo Evaru Koteeswarudu”, the Telugu version of “Kaun Banega Crorepati”. Its first series was quite popular that the second season too will hit the Maa TV soon.
Nagarjuna is also tipped to act in an upcoming Telugu-Tamil bilingual movie with actor Karthi.
