MTV Video Music Awards 2014: Minaz’s dress malfunction kicks off Event, Live Stream on

The 31st annual MTV Video Music Awards 2014 event was opened Sunday night Nicki Minaj’s “Anaconda” video coming to life with a highly electrifying performance that had a wardrobe malfunction when Ariana Grande and Jessie J are aside.

Grande kicked off the show with EDM hit, “Break Free” and the show is being telecast currently live from the ‘Fabulous’ Forum, California, which had seen an earthquake of 6 magnitude just about 16 hours ago.

Unrelented, the MTV show went on as scheduled and the MTV VMA’s red carpet live event was hosted by Rachel Antonoff.

The awards ceremony is being hosted by actor Lucy Hale. "It’s one of those moments in popular culture which I think is a must-watch," VMA executive producer Garrett English told ABC News.

Possible award winners include Beyonce, and the eight nominations include her video of the year (‘Drunk in Love’). Others include Pharrell Williams, Miley Cyrus, Sia (Chandelier) and Iggy Azalea. Queen Bey will receive the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award.
