Modi, US President Obama in ‘Mann ki Baat’: Will it Revive AIR?

For the first time, Indian Prime Minister and the visiting US President, Mr Barack Obama, will share their thoughts together on next episode of “Mann ki Baat” on All India Radio, to be aired on 27 January, 2015, giving a fillip unprecedented.

“This month’s Mann Ki Baat episode will be a special one, where our Republic Day guest President Barack Obama and I will share our thoughts together. I am eagerly looking forward to the special Mann Ki Baat programme with President Barack Obama, which will be aired on 27th January,” said Prime Minister Modi in a message.

Mann Ki Baat with President Barack Obama will not be complete without your participation! Send your Qs till the 25th, using #AskObamaModi,” said Mr Modi in a Twitter message. Further, people can post your questions on a specially created Open Forum.

Though the event is unique in a highly TV-centric generation to address people on radio, All India Radio should take the opportunity to revive its prospects of making the medium relevant.
