In a shocking news to the entire country and the new BJP government, Union Rural Development minister Gopinath Munde died in a mysterious car accident in New Delhi few days after his swearing-in as the Union Minister, leaving the first dent on the new ministry.
Police detained the car driver identified as Gurvinder. Munde’s body will be taken to his native village in Maharashtra Beed’s district on Wednesday for last rites.
Ironically, the death of the BJP leader came at a time when Maharashtra CM post is the hot topic in media. Maharashtra BJP leader Avdoot Bagh says that Mundeji’s car accident is a big conspiracy.
Even Congress and AAP leaders expressed their condolences over Munde’s unfortunate death.
The accident took place on Tuesday morning at 6:30 amwhile he was on his way to Indira Gandhi International (IGI) airport to travel back to Mumbai after attending a meeting in the national capital.
The road accident took place at around 6:30 am when a car rammed into his vehicle from behind critically injuring Munde who later asked for water from his security guard Nair on the way to the hospital.
Munde is the brother-in-law of Pramod Mahajan, who died in a tragic incident five years ago.
