Microsoft launched its most affordable internet ready phone – Nokia 215 dual SIM – in India on Wednesday priced at Rs.2,149, first of its kind in the category.
The device brings to its consumers the choice of accessing Facebook in 9 local languages and also comes preloaded with Facebook and Messenger.
“India is a ‘mobile-first’ market, and feature phones are the first port of access to internet for a large number of mobile users,” said Raghuvesh Sarup, director of Nokia India Sales, a subsidiary of Microsoft Mobiles Oy.
Nokia 215 has Nokia Series 30+ operating system and weighs 78.6 grams, measures 116mm length, 50mm width and 12.9 mm in thcikness. With a display size of 2.4″, QVGA 320 x 240 resolution, the screen displays highColor (18-bit/262k) in LCD with 166 ppi pixel density.
Equipped with 8 MB RAM, memory card can support up to 32 GB via MicroSD memory card. With 1100 mAh, the battery standby time is 20 hours, according to the company. It sports a VGA camera.
