Beginning Thursday, the Telugu version of Kaun banega Crorepati (KBC) started airing the questions for its next fourth season of Meelo Evaru Koteeswarudu and this time the TV channel MAATV has roped in megastar Chiranjeevi, replacing Nagarjuna as the host.
Here is the 5th MEK question posed on Maa TV:
The Twitter and Facebook have already aired the first look picture and a 20-second teaser on YouTube saying,
“Here is the sneak peak of the Mega Surprise … Stay tuned for more #MEKwithMegastar,” said the channel on Twitter with link to a video.
For Chiranjeevi who is wrapping up his 150th film “Khaidi No. 150”, the quiz TV show (MEK) will keep him going to the hearts of millions of homes in AP, Telangana, Karnataka and lakhs of Telugu=speaking people across the country.
For the first time, the TV show MEK has been opened to all Telugus across the country unlike in the past when it was confined to AP and Telangana states. The present owners of MAATV are Star Television Network are likely to wrest more viewers with the rolling out of the fourth season of the popular Telugu TV show, which is based on the globally acclaimed TV show “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire” and successfully adopted in Hindi as “Kaun Banega Crorepati” with Amitabh Bachchan as the host.
This season of MEK will be aired on MAATV from December 12 from Monday to Thursday during the prime time 8.30 to 9.30 pm, though it may clash with other popular TV serial “Keratalu” during the first half. While the TV show was a great hit for Nagarjuna, it remains to be seen whether Chiru keeps the grip on it the same way or fade out the way Shah Rukh Khan tried it when Amitabh Bachchan was not available briefly after the success of the show a decade ago.
