Since the plot of the movie is well known, producers have done value addition by introducing Sunny Leone to Telugu audience for the first times and the sizzling heroine Rakul too vied for her share in the pie in the first one hour of the film.
A remake of Tamil movie, “Varutha Padatha Valiber Sangam”, director G. Nageswara Reddy of “Denikaina Ready” fame has done justice with his native touch as the title itself suggests, electrifying the audience.
An entire saga of quickly moving characters, the film is not boring but brings in too many complications to the plot that is not easy to comprehend, if Sunny Leone sees it herself with a translator.
In addition, Jagapati Babu playing the role of a father to Rakul, it can be said that Jagapati Babu is now settling down to character roles or villain roles, leaving behind his hero stature.
Produced by Mohan Babu’s son Manchu Vishnu under the home banner 24 Frames Factory, “Current Teega” borders on comedy with romance chipped in bits and pieces. Sunny plays a glamorous teacher in the movie but her presence is forced in the film for the item song and nothing more.
The duo friends inside the marriage hall bent upon spoiling it is rather repetitive from many similar films and some variety should have been employed by the director.
Achu Rajamani’s music was good and the “Devadas” song sung by Manchu Manoj is another highlight of the film apart from Sunny Leone. Sampoornesh Babu, Tanikella Bharani, Vennela Kishore, Dhanraj, Thagubothu Ramesh and Raghu Babu are the playing supporting characters in the movie.
