Airtel has offered up to 500MB of free 3G data for first two months in 3G circles for its customers having the handset.
The Lava Iris X8 sports a dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) smartphone, runs on Android 4.4 KitKat and is upgradable to Android 5.0 Lollipop at a later date.
The Laval Iris X8 comes with a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) IPS display, Asahi Dragontrail glass protection, 1.4GHz octa-core processor with 2GB of RAM and Mali 450 MP GPU.
The Lava Iris X8 has 16GB memory storage, expandable with a microSD card up to 32GB and it sports an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and BSI 3 sensor. The second camera sports 3-megapixel front-facing one for selfies. The rear camera supports full-HD video recording, besides providing features like Panorama, HDR mode, face detection, smile shot and voice capture options.
Connectible to 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB, and Bluetooth, the smartphone has a 2500mAh battery which is far below the 3000-range being offered on many phones.
The Lava Iris X8 measures 143.4×70.9×8.6mm, weighs 160 grams, and is available in black and white colours. It comes with an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, magnetometer, and a proximity sensor.
