Chiranjeevi’s Khaidi No 150 on its opening day made a record collection of about Rs.50 crore in domestic and Rs.8.5 crore in US market alone where 200 screens were showing the film on its release day.
The film, which was sold to distributors for more than Rs.100 crore, is making huge records in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka and few other parts of India since Wednesday morning, with more than 90% occupancy rate and most of the theatres had seen pre-booking to the full on its opening day.
On its overseas collections, Taran Adarsh tweeted: "It’s a HURRICANE… Indeed, Boss is Back! Telugu film #KhaidiNo150 takes a STUPENDOUS start in USA… Tue $ 1,251,548 [₹ 8.56 cr]. @Rentrak".
This is far more than the opening day box office collection record of Pawan Kalyan’s "Sardaar Gabbar Singh", which had a record of second biggest collections of Rs 40.81 crore gross, behind Baahubali, which is the all-time biggest opener with Rs 73 crore gross.
But areawise, the numbers show that Khaidi No.150 collected more business in Nizam, Vizag, East Godavari, West Godavari, Krishna, Guntur and Nellore. Here is the table of Khaidi No.150 vs Bahubali collections:
