Model, Actor, Producer and now a Singer, John Abraham seems to be exploring every aspect of the film industry. The actor is all set to make his debut in singing through his upcoming movie “Welcome Back” by singing a tapori track, written by Nitin Raikar.
Mirror quoted Director Anees Bazmee, who said, “We wanted Shruti (Haasan) and John to sing a duet but Shruti, who is a trained singer with a beautiful voice, was in Dubai during the recording so we decided to go ahead with John, solo.”
Reportedly, the idea behind persuading John Abraham to sing the song was that of composer-singer Anu Malik, it is said that John uses his voice to woo his lady love.Anees Bazmee beamed when he and John got the song right after six hours of rehearsing which was by the end of evening.
Anees also feels that John will shock the audience with his over-the-top bhaigiri n the film and not only because of his singing debut.
It is also reported that when John was asked if he thought he’d ever croon for a film, the actor burst out laughing and said,he bursts out. “Never! I kept saying no but Anees insisted…So I did!,” the mirror quoted the actor.
Anees Bazmee directorial “Welcome Back” is a comedy film, which is a sequel to the 2007 release “Welcome.” The movie is produced by Firoz Nadiadwala and co-produced by F M Khan Swiss Entertainment.
Besides John Abraham and Shruti Haasan, the movie features an ensemble cast that includes Nana Patekar, Anil Kapoor and Paresh Rawal. The movie is slated to release on September 4, 2015. Meanwhile, the trailer of the movie has been launched on July 6.
