The JEE scores will be taken into account for admission into NITs, IIITs, other centrally funded technical Institutions. Those who get qualified rank will be allowed to take the JEE advanced for admission in IITs.
This year, JEE pattern for 2017 was slightly changed as the 12th class marks are not taken for calculating the ranks in the JEE (Main) examination but 75% should be the minimum marks percentage for admission into these colleges, or be in the top 20 percentile in the 12th class examination conducted by the respective Boards. For SC/ST students the qualifying marks would be 65 percent in the 12th class examination.
