ISRO Earned $88 Mln from Foreign Satellite Launches in 3 Yrs

During the last three years starting from January 2013 until December 2015, a total of 28 International customer satellites belonging to 9 countries were launched by ISRO (Indian Space Research Organisation) earning 80.6 million euros ($88.8 million) for Antrix, the commercial arm of ISRO.

The countries include Austria (2), Canada (5), Denmark (1), France (1), Germany (1), Indonesia (1), Singapore (7), UK (6), USA (4). These satellites were launched onboard India’s Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) under the commercial arrangement entered into between Antrix Corporation Limited (Antrix), the commercial arm of ISRO and the international customer.
