Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi has been on sabbatical with his mother Sonia Gandhi’s permission but BJP is in a hurry to make him come out of his hiding as soon as possible.
His absence in the budget session of Parliament had caused surprise in the party and in the ruling BJP too.
While posters in his constituency cropped up with BJP backgroudn seeking clue to Rahul Gandhi’s whereabouts, there are some awards too, said the poster, signed residents in Hindi.
“We don’t know where you have disappeared; no letters, no messages, where are you?” reads one poster, besides listing top 10 problems faced by the people related to poor health, education and civic issues. It derided him for not keeping up his promise to visit his constituency Amethi at least once in a month.
It is almost a month since Rahul Gandhi went underground for “Chintan” (Brainstorming session) to revive the Congress that was drubbed at the polls in Delhi assembly elections. While the party sources are tight-lipped about his whereabouts, indications are that he might be holding the “chintan” in Karnataka, a Congress-ruled state where his identity can be kept in secret.
Where in Karnataka? This remains the major question but even Bangalore could be an ideal place owing to its pleasant season in March.
