IPL 2017 Schedule Announced, Players’ Auction Next Monday

The 10th edition IPL 2017 schedule has been announced by the Indian Premier League (IPL) organisers – the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) , and the tournament, featuring eight teams, will begin on the 5th of April and end on the 21st of May, 2017.

The IPL 2016 champions Sunrisers Hyderabad will play against runners-up Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket stadium in Hyderabad on April 5.

The IPL 2017 will be held in 10 venues in 47 days, and each team plays 7 out of 14 games on their home front. Kings XI Punjab will play at Mohali and Indore as their home ground, Gujarat Lions have chosen Rajkot and Kanpur, but the final will be played on May 21 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket stadium again.

The first match in Mumbai will be played by Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders on April 9 and both teams will play again at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on May 13.

Royal Challengers Bangalore will open in Bangalore Delhi Daredevils on April 8 and the last league game at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium with Knight Riders on May 7.

Royal Challengers play with Mumbai Indians in Bangalore on April 14 and the next play by both these teams will be at the Wankhede Stadium on May 1. The IPL auction will be held on Monday, February 20, 2017 in Bangalore.
