IPL 2015 auction in Bangalore on Feb. 16; Where to watch live, free online live streaming information

Raising the curtains for the year 2015’s Indian Premier League (IPL), the BCCI will hold the auction for the eighth series of the mega event at the ITC Gardenia in Bangalore on February 16.

The proceedings will begin at 9:30 am on 16 February 2015. The Auction will be conducted by Richard Madley, a professional auctioneer from England, who has conducted each of the previous IPL player auctions. The Auction will be telecast live on the SONY SIX HD and SONY SIX channels. It will also be streamed live on www.iplt20.com.

ipl2015Several leading cricketers from across the world will be up for grabs. The auction will begin at 9.30 am and will be conducted by professional English auctioneer Richard Madley, who has conducted each of the previous IPL player auctions.

“The 2015 IPL Player Auction will mark the beginning of the countdown to the eighth season of one of the most popular sporting events on the planet. The auction promises to be eventful,” IPL governing council chairman Ranjib Biswal said in a statement Friday.

“The franchises have returned to the drawing board, reworked plans and devised new strategies, over the previous few months. They will have the opportunity to bid for some of the biggest names in the game.”

The auction will be available live at www.ipl20.com, said the organizers. Many leading cricketers from across the world will be up for grabs at the 2015 Pepsi IPL Player Auction, said Sanjay Patel, secretary of BCCI in an official posting on the event website.

“The 2015 Pepsi IPL Player Auction will mark the beginning of the countdown to the eighth season of one of the most popular sporting events on the planet. The Auction promises to be eventful. The Franchises have returned to the drawing board, reworked plans and devised new strategies, over the previous few months. They will have the opportunity to bid for some of the biggest names in the game,” Ranjib Biswal, Chairman, IPL Governing Council, said.

Mediapersons wishing to cover the 2015 Pepsi IPL Player Auction will have to apply for accreditation. Details regarding the media accreditation procedure will be announced soon, said the organizers.
