IAF Evacuates Indian Nationals from Djibouti

Indian nationals who left Yemen and taken to Djibouti were brought home by the Indian Air Force (IAF) in 2 of its heavy transport aircraft on Thursday.
In a well coordinated operation involving multi agencies, IAF deployed two C-17 Globemaster III aircraft, on Wednesday. These aircraft took off from Delhi early on Wednesday morning and reached Djibouti and brought back people evacuated from Yemen to India.
The first IAF C-17 Aircraft carrying 168 passengers landed at Kochi at 0147 hrs and the second C-17 carrying 190 passengers landed at Mumbai at the 0,324th hrs.
The Indian Air Force, known for its successful evacuation operations in Jammu & Kashmir in September last year, once again participated in Disaster Relief by bringing home the Indians evacuated from Yemen.
