Hunt for Mystery Woman who Dumped Rare Apple-1 worth $200,000!

What would do if owned rare and original Apple-1 computer that was put together by Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak and Ron Wayne? You would probably keep it as your prized possession. But a woman from San Francisco, United States, accidently dumped the vintage Apple-1 computer in to a recycling center. Now the Silicon Valley firm is on a lookout for that woman because the rare gem of a computer could fetch her at least $100,000!

The recycling firm, Clean Bay Area Recycling Center, stated that the computer was sold to a private collector for more than $200,000 and the mystery woman is a entitled to 50 percent of the profit that her Appe-1 won at auction. It is one of only 200 ever made by the men themselves – Jobs, Wozniak and Wayne in 1976. The computers were then came with a price tag of $666. These computers are rare to find now.

"We really couldn’t believe our eyes. We thought it was fake," Clean Bay Area Vice-President Victor Gichun told the Associated Press.

According to Gichun, the woman drove an SUV. “(The donor) said, ‘I want to get rid of this stuff and clean up my garage,’ ” the Vice President of the recycling firm told the Mercury News. “I said, ‘Do you need a tax receipt?’ and she said, ‘No, I don’t need anything.’” He also added that he would recognise if he sees her again.

She also mentioned that her husband passed a couple of months earlier. This indicates that the computer might have been from his personal collection.

The recycling firm was loaded with the work at the time and the boxes were only sorted through after the woman had left the center. After this workers discovered the rare Apple-1 computer.
