The Taiwanese manufacturer of HTC Desire 820 and HTC Desire 820q smartphones, which were unveiled last month and set to hit Indian market on November 4, revealed the prices of the models at Rs 24,500 and Rs 22,500, respectively.
The HTC Desire 820 slated to be the new flagship in the Desire series, however, faces competition from its own HTC family brand, the Desire Eye, which has better features and specs.
Otherwise, the Desire 820 phone is the first onw with the octa core Snapdragon 615 processor featuring 64-bit support. It runs on Android 4.4 KitKat, and the handset look is refined from the Desire 816 model.
HTC 820 offers typical 5.5-inch 720p HD LCD display, BoomSound speakers on front, an 8MP snapper for selfies, and a rear 13MP camera with an LED flash. The Desire 820q is priced less as it lacks some features — Unlike 820, which has has 2GB of RAM and octa core chip, 820q features only 1GB RAM and a quad core 64-bit Snapdragon 410 processor.
