Akshay-Sonakshi starrer “Holiday”, a remake from Tamil hit, has beaten the box office records of 2014 coming closer to “Jai Ho” collections of Salman Khan film, earning Rs.62.67 crore after the first 10-day earnings record.
“Holiday – A Soldier Is Never Off Duty” was able to get a good review and word of mouth to get a positive crowds at its screening in more than 3.500 screens, making it one of the blockbusters beating even the recent hits like “Heropanti”, “Main Tera Hero” and “Ragini MMS 2”, which have created huge box office records this year.
Tade analyst Taran Adarsh said the India box office collections were “Superb”.

‘Holiday’ fared far better than other films released on June 6 but nonetheless the competition remained high with Herpanti grossing Rs.50 crore and Citylights too remaining on top of the list this week.
