Google is gearing up for the likely release of its next tablet the Nexus 9, just one day before Apple’s iPad event on October 16, for which special invite was sent to the media already.
Since Nexus 9 is already confirmed in an Nvidia legal filing, it would be direct clash between Google’s Nexus 9 and Apple’s iPad latest. Reports and rumors said Google’s Nexus 9 is likely to be manufactured by HTC and will be available from November 3, around the same time iPad latest be available.
Though there has been no official confirmation from Google, Nexus 9 is rumored to be priced $399, making it costlier than its predecessor Nexus 7 that was released with a price tag of $299.
But Nexus 9 is expected to be a premium product due to its pricing and rumors surfaced so far online indicate that it would be named "HTC Volantis" with a 9-inch display, driven by the Nvidia Tegra K1 processor with 2GB RAM, besides 8MP rear camera and 3MP front camera.
In case Nexus 9 is based on Google’s recently unveiled Android L operating system, then it might trigger an entirely new market rival for Apple iPad.
