Flipkart never missed an opportunity to sell smartphones online, which is easier to deliver and its recent 24-hour scheme makes it easier to quickly sell off mobile phones than other heavy appliances.
Riding high on recent sale of Mi3 phones in just 2.4 second, Flipkart has embarked upon the sale of the Asus ZenFones worth 20,000 today, Monday August 18, 2014. Advertising a promo as part of its extended Independence Day discounts, it is providing 10% cash back to buyers on credit and debit cards.
Though the number is the same as its Mi3 phones, selling 20,000 Asus ZeFones would be rather a week’s time for the e-commerce giant to sell most of the units of the 5-inch and 6-inch devices.
Asus said recently that it’s aping the Apple strategy in India to focus on both online and offline sales, increasing its inventory on both platforms. The three series of smartphones in the 4-inch, 5-inch and 6-inch categories are priced at Rs 5,999, Rs 9,999 and Rs 16,999, respectively.
All the models are powered by dual core Intel CloverTrail+ processors, using Android 4.3 Jelly Bean with updates to KitKat available in the future.
Some of the other specs of Asus ZenFone 6 include the display of 6-inch 720p HD IPS screen w/ Gorilla Glass 3 and a processor of 1.6GHz dual core Intel Atom processor. With connectivity to Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, HSPA+ 42 Mbps and a memory of 2GB RAM, 16 GB storage and 64 GB expandable capacity, the phone is powered by a battery of 3300mAh and features two cameras of 13MP near and 2MP rear.
