While the flames of Tiajin are still fresh in people’s minds, another large fire accident hit the Runxing Chemical plant in Zibo country of China, with seven people killed so far and flames still raging.
Large flames are still visible at the site of the blast, while residential area is one kilometer from the affected plant.
Chinese news agency Xinhua said an explosion in the chemical factory triggered the fire and about one dozen fire engines have been trying to put off the fire.
Other reports said windows shattered at the factory and the vibrations were felt about two kilometres far from the factory.
It is not merely ironical but also suspicious that both major fires within a week were due to chemicals, some of them dangerous.
