In a typical tatkal sort of scheme, about 180,000 tickets have been made available during the final World Cup sales phase from tomorrow, Wednesday June 4, 2014.
The governing body of FIFA said tickets will be offered for all 64 matches, including the final at Rio de Janeiro’s Maracana stadium on July 13.
The last-minute sales of tickets for FIFA 2014 will be kicked off tomorrow, Wednesday June 4, 2014 and football fans in Rio can aspire to buy tickets even on FIFA’s official website.
"Sales occur on a first come, first served basis," said FIFA’s marketing director Thierry Weil.
The new tickets were made available after the pre-booked seats were not confirmed at some venues, said the organisers.
The FIFA World Cup will be held in 12 venues in Brazil from June 12 to July 13.
More than 2.75 million tickets have been sold so far for the global event.
