‘Dil Dhadakne Do’ which was released yesterday with a big star cast and mixed reviews of the movie, couldn’t predict the movie’s future to be hit or the miss!
The reports coming from across the country state that the opening show of the movie got approximately 40% occupancy rate. The occupancy rates were higher in multiplexes than single screens.
Trade analyst Taran adarsh tweeted:”#DilDhadakneDo picked up at plexes towards evening shows. Fri ₹ 10.53 cr. India biz. Sat and Sun biz needs to grow to post a good total.”

Zoya Akhtar’s movie ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’ had a big star cast which really would have been a blockbuster and a grand opening on day one. But might be because of the reviews, the occupancy rate was just 40 percent, In fact, the reviews might have left audience in two states of mind, whether to watch the movie or not.
There are high expectations from the movie as the star cast was grand as it comprises of biggest star cast Anil Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, Ranveer Singh, Anushka Sharma and Farhan Akhtar . There seems to be no positive response about the movie crossing the 100Crore and joining the 100crore club. As per the early estimates, the movie is among the range of 10-10.25 Crore on day 1.
‘Dil Dhadakne Do’, being an urban entertainment movie, was actually bound to do well in multiplexes as it did yesterday. However, the response in single screens was poor. While multiplexes in metros have really done good business collecting Rs.10.25 Crore, the footfalls increased considerably later in the day boosting the box office collections.
Since the weekend has no other major releases, it it likely that the film will get more audience for the film to reach at least the Rs.100-crore club by the month end.
